P Ramasamy 2nd Deputy Cheif Minister for Penang

First time in Malaysia History an Indian P Ramasamy became 2nd Deputy Cheif Minister for Penang which the MIC not near to this level at state government.

DAP’s Perai representative P Ramasamy who was an ex UKM lecturer and PKR’s Penanti state assembly person Muhammad Fairuz Khairuddin has been appointed as Penang’s Deputy CM’s by our new Cheif Minister Lim Guan Eng today.

Both of them will hold the post as:
Deputy CM 1 - Muhammad Fairuz Khairuddin
Deputy CM 2 - P. Ramasamy

Barisan National, which is controlled by UMNO, has never gave such representation to ethnic minorities other than having only one Indian at the Federal Cabinet Ministerial Level.
